TREATMENTS

Our treatments have a focus on exercise and 'hands on', which is supported in the most recent literature and evidence.

Titled Sports & Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists

At The Injury Hub, we have a number of APA (Australian Physiotherapy Association) Titled Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists.

Titled Physiotherapists have completed extensive postgraduate training, including a Masters degree in their area of expertise — either Sports or Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. This advanced training gives them additional skills, knowledge, and clinical experience beyond standard physiotherapy qualifications.

Through their Masters degree, Titled Physiotherapists gain the expertise to work in specialist settings, such as elite sports clubs, high-performance programs, and complex musculoskeletal clinics. This ensures that our patients benefit from highly experienced clinicians who are trained to manage both everyday injuries and complex or high-level conditions.

Hands on Treatment

At The Injury Hub, our primary approach to physiotherapy is hands-on. We believe this style of treatment delivers the best results, helping you return to your normal activities faster.

Our experienced clinicians use a variety of techniques tailored to your needs, including spinal mobilisations, manipulations, massage, as well as McKenzie, Maitland, and Mulligan methods.

Rehabilitation Gym

At The Injury Hub, our 110-square-metre gym is fully equipped with the latest cardio and strength equipment to help you overcome injuries and improve overall function.

Orthopaedic Rehabilitation

Our team of physiotherapists specialise in orthopaedic rehabilitation, helping patients recover from a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. This includes post-surgical care such as joint replacements and arthroscopies, as well as treatments involving manual therapy, manipulations, and biomechanical assessments to restore function and mobility.

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy, also known as aqua physiotherapy, is a form of physiotherapy performed in water. It involves guided exercises in a heated pool to relieve pain, improve muscle movement and function, and enhance overall well-being.

At The Injury Hub, we offer hydrotherapy at two locations:

  • StarPlex Gawler (Alexander Ave) – Monday and Thursday afternoons, pool temperature 27°C

  • Barossa Village, Nuriootpa (Atze Pde) – Wednesday afternoons, pool temperature 32°C

Our hydrotherapy sessions are tailored to your individual needs, providing a safe and effective environment for rehabilitation and recovery.

Knee Rehabilitation Class

Our Knee Rehab Class is designed to improve neuromuscular control of the hip, pelvis, trunk, knee, ankle, and foot — areas that can be affected by a range of injuries. Focusing on these muscles and movement patterns helps reduce the risk of re-injury, supports faster return-to-sport timelines, and builds confidence in movement.

Originally created for ACL reconstruction rehabilitation, this class is also beneficial for other injuries such as patella dislocations, as well as hip and ankle conditions.

Sports Assessments

A Sports Assessment involves a series of physical and functional tests to identify limitations in your body that may be causing, contributing to, or increasing the risk of injury. It’s particularly valuable for anyone dealing with long-term or recurring injuries, as it helps pinpoint areas that need improvement.

Following the assessment, a personalised strength and conditioning program is usually developed to address these limitations, reduce injury risk, and enhance sporting performance.

Dry Needling/Acupuncture

Dry needling is a treatment technique where very fine needles are inserted into trigger points in muscles and other specific areas of the body. This helps reduce pain, relieve muscle tightness, and restore normal movement and function.

We have a few physiotherapists who are trained in both dry needling and Western acupuncture, ensuring safe and effective treatment tailored to your needs.

Pilates

Pilates is a series of specially designed exercises that focus on strengthening the core muscles, which help stabilise and control the body and spine. A strong core can reduce low back pain, improve pelvic stability, support sacroiliac conditions, and enhance posture and spinal alignment.

At The Injury Hub, we offer one-on-one Pilates sessions using both reformer and mat-based exercises, tailored to your individual needs and rehabilitation goals.

Running Analysis

A Running Analysis begins with physical assessments to identify your movement limitations and weaknesses. Our physiotherapist will then video your running from different angles to see if these limitations are affecting performance or increasing your risk of injury.

Based on the results, we can design a personalised strength and conditioning program and make adjustments to your running gait. This helps improve performance, reduce injury risk, and support a safer, more efficient running style.
